I was really glad to hear that Mr. Inamori was reelected as the mayor of Nago city, Okinawa.
I don't think we need the U.S. military installations anywhere in Japan.
It's high time we stopped having the colonized area for the sake of human rights for the people in Okinawa as well as saving the beautiful nature there.
America, or someone behind the country wants to control the world. We Japanese really need to notice it.
We are said to be like animals in a cage or "zoo theory"; we don't think much and are easy to train. :-(
I admire you express your thoughts clearly in English.
That's the most important part in conversation, don't you think? :D
I can't agree with them
That country just need a stone step to defence America.
If we have any terrible things between us and other countries (especially Asian countries ), they never helps us.
They may do, but not for us, it's for their benefit.
I hope Japanese notice that.
I have my own opinion after watching a musical 'Himeyuri'.
It illustrated very well about what happened during the war and I couldn't help identifying myself with people in Okinawa.
Ryukyu newspaper tells us a lot about this issue, while mega newspaper don't tell us much.
It's really a shame that we can't get correct info from the media, so we need to seach for the fact on the net.
Some think we need them since we don't have military because of our constitution.
I can't say we should abolish the bases at once.
I must say it's a very controversial issue・・・

As you said, Japanese government must say "no" to America, not to people in Okinawa!

Thanks a lot for posting your clear-cut opinions against having American bases in the territory of Japan, including those in Okinawa.
I quite agree with you because Japan is an independent nation, and it is inscrutable that we still have American bases on our land.
Japan should say no to America building their military bases in our territory.
We are not a colony of America anymore.
